Burning Mysteries
I've compiled some questions that I have been in my head since first avidly watching the show. Going through the episodes again while on a quest for screenshots recently, I found myself asking even more questions about certain aspects of the series. I've wondered if others had the same thoughts I did. Here are mine.
Episode Questions
Do the opening credits take place in Amon's actual apartment? Could he really be in Touko's room and Robin is watching him through some sort of closed circuit video feed? It would explain the European feel of the room if it was Touko's.
How far in the future is the show actually set? Did the writers make a mistake in the year or does Amon not have a good grasp of the historical timeline?
Am I the only person who figured out that orbo came from witches waaay back in Episode 2 or was it obvious to everyone else, too?
How did Amon know what prescription Robin needed? Did she really need glasses or did Amon just order/bribe the optometrist to lie about her need so that she would use them without question?
Why do witches always hide out in abandoned/empty warehouses?
What did Touko ask Amon as he broke off the relationship?
Did Father Juliano and Cortion speak Japanese or were they actually using Italian during their scenes?
Why did the rune bullets specifically made to kill witches just bounce (painfully) off of Robin?
Who really shot Robin in the warehouse?
Why did the SWAT team apparently switch from rubber bullets for the STN-J members to real bullets for Amon in the raid? Maybe Amon just faked his injuries so that he would be able to confront Father Juliano in Italy?
When Amon went to Italy, did he speak Italian or Japanese?
Did Father Juliano realize that Robin was in love with her partner and that's why he ordered Amon to hunt her, knowing he was her Achilles' heel?
Was Father Juliano aware that Amon had some sort of attachment for his granddaughter at this point?
Why did Amon give Robin information on the Solomon Hunters while simultaneously hunting her?
Was Amon's gun even loaded when he confronted Robin in Episode 23?
Did Amon ever once seriously consider hunting Robin?
Why did Father Juliano wear those way-too-cool-for-a-priest sunglasses at night?
How did Father Juliano have a daughter? Was he married at one point?
Why does Toukou get the crappy end of the stick in the show?
Was Toudou really in love with Maria?
Is Toudou genetically the father of Robin?
Who exactly murdered Toudou?
How did Amon just get up after being hit by Zaizen's ultimate orbo?
How were the STN-J members able to go back to hunting so easily, considering everything they had learned and the lack of indication that they were doing anything other than killing witches upon capture?

Is Amon a first or last name?
Did Amon know Father Juliano before the start of the series?
When did Amon become a Hunter?
What happened to Amon's mother to scar him so?
Why does Amon wear such ugly boots?
Robin makes sense, but why exactly is Amon so modest? Did he grow up in a monastery after his mother died, too?
Why in hell did the writers translate the word monastery instead of convent?
Why don't we ever get to see Amon naked or at least without his shirt?
Why does Amon block traffic in the middle of the day during rush hour?
Does Amon have high car insurance rates?
Why does the usually silent Amon randomly go off on preachy sermons in the company of Robin?
Is Amon actually part European as the show seems to suggest?
Why does Kosaka resemble Hitler?
Why does the seemingly Japanese Doujima Yurika have blonde hair and blue eyes?
Was Father Juliano really a seed/craft user/witch as stated by Robin in Episode 2? If so, then why the weird feelings for Maria and Robin?
How much experience did Robin have hunting witches prior to being sent to Japan?
Why does Robin style her hair as she does?
Why does she feel the need to wear a jumper over her shirt and skirt? Isn't she already covered enough?
Did Robin finish school early or did she drop out?
Did Robin learn Japanese as a second language or was she raised speaking both Italian and Japanese?
Um, why exactly does fifteen-year-old-convent-raised Robin sleep naked?
Why does Robin look and act like she is seventeen or so, not fifteen?
Where did Robin get that lipstick in the later episode? Did she find it lying around at Nagira's office or does she normally wear that shade?
What's the thing inside Robin's pendant (visible in the end credits)?
Lastly
Does Amon have romantic feelings towards Robin? Inquiring minds need to know.
